About Us - Our Mission

Our Mission is to promote health and well being for Fayette County’s uninsured and working poor through compassionate healthcare, education, prevention, and referral, providing a gateway to other community services.

Purpose

  • To fill a gap in our health care system
  • Preventive care reducing the potential of a health crisis
  • Provide the needed care and medications for long-term illness
  • Provide a safe medical environment for the working uninsured where they are treated with compassion and respect

A Culture of Caring

Fayette CARE Clinic will practice the “Culture of Caring” philosophy that has made the Hilton Head Clinic a success. The “Culture of Caring” is a two-part philosophy.

The first is the belief that healing begins when you greet a person at the door, invite him or her in, take an interest in the life of the person and give one some of the dignity and respect that often has not been shown elsewhere in that life.

The second part of the “Culture of Caring” is the belief that the greatest healing does not go to the people who come to the Clinic to receive care but, rather, to the volunteers who go there to give it.

History

Fayette Care Clinic open our doors for patients on May 1, 2006 one evening a week providing medical services only. We have grown significantly and now provide medical, dental, vision, physical therapy, dermatology, cardology, and patient education and referrals.

Fayette Care Clinic partners with Piedmont Fayette Hospital which provides labs and mammogram testing for our patients and OutPatient Imaging (OPI) for radiology services. More and more of our patients need services not provided in the clinic and we refer to other specialty partners for assistances when possible.

Fayette Care Clinic is a member of Georgia Free Clinics Network and Volunteers in Medicine. Both organizations provide advisory support to clinics in Georgia as well as national.
